4 Balayan Kiddie Learning Center Corporation is an offshoot of the Kiddie Summer Program initiated by Ms. Marilee P. Relevo in 1996. It aimed to prepare pre-elementary and elementary aged students to the next grade level. Recognizing Marilee’s talent and ability to teach, several parents encouraged her to put up her own school. Through the assistance of a relative, Ms. Meliza Caroline P. Tacsuan, a pre-school was established. Necessary documents were prepared and submitted to the Department of Education for the school to obtain a Permit to Operate.
On February 2000, the founders started to renovate their family ancestral home at Fe Street. They converted their garage into a fully air-conditioned classroom and an area was provided to accommodate child-safe play area which was then a pre-requisite to children’s classroom.
On its initial opening for the SY 2000-2001, the school welcomed its first batch of 28 nursery pupils, whose ages ranged from 2-1/2 to 4 years old. On its second year of operation, Kindergarten classes were offered and it had a total number of 36 enrollees. For the next school year 2002-2003, the Preparatory level was opened bringing to the school a total population of 60 pupils. An additional classroom was provided to accommodate the fast growing population of students. The Department of Education granted a Government Recognition on April 3, 2003 after the school had maintained the required standards of DepEd. The student population increased every year with its growth attributed to the quality education and good reputation which lasted for the next fourteen years.
By the year 2013-2014, the school administration decided to expand its elementary education, new shareholders: Mrs. Magin R. Gerard and Dra. Memaribel P. Martinez were brought in, who helped in providing better facilities for the school. BKLC acquired a 2,545 sqm. lot on Fe Street and built a two-storey building. The school was blessed with 260 enrollees as SY 2014-2015 was opened.
